Welcome to the Gulf Coast GSMD Club

The Gulf Coast Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club is a group of GSMD owners and enthusiasts from all across the country with its core members from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Founded in 2004 and recognized as a Regional Club of GSMDCA, we have members active in Conformation, Drafting, Obedience, Pack Hikes, Rally, Weight Pull, and Agility.

The Club was established for Swissy enthusiasts to promote the GSMD breed and provide a community of resources for everything Swissy.

Glen Rose Dog Show - Jan 7-8, 2012

Come out to the Nolan River Kennel Club Show in Glen Rose, TX on January 7th and 8th 2012.  The NRKC is hosting a 2 day All Breed Confirmation Show with Obedience and Rally Trials.  The Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs will be judged on Saturday in Ring 2 at 12:35pm and on Sunday in Ring 3 at 12:50pm.  Go to  http://www.onofrio.com/ for the full Judging Program.

The Fort Worth German Shepard Club is hosting 2 Herding Instinct Trials on Saturday, January 7th.  The Club will accept entries the day of if space is available. Go to  http://www.ftw-gsd.org/  for more information on the Herding Instinct Test.  There will be a handful of
